La Maison

It is clear after reading the resort page why we have chosen Sainte-Maxime.  We have visited the area for fifteen years and every year find something new and exciting about it.

Outside

St Maxime Park is a brand new development of new build houses and apartments.  Our house is in a row of four and is at the top of the domain overlooking the magnificent views of the National Park surrounding it.  There are two communal pools, which are solely for the use of people in the park.  The domain is set well back from the road, up an impressive drive, which leads to electronic gates.  You will need a code for the gate.  There is a couple who live on site who act as both security and a point of contact for any queries.  The lady does speak English.  Management maintain all the gardens, flowers and trees on the domain and ensure that the pools (which open May 1^st) are always in pristine condition.

The pools are beautiful. There are two pools, one for babies. There are changing facilities and toilets.  There is a beautiful sea view from the pool area too.  The pools are only two minutes walk from the house but are just far enough so that there is no noise if you fancy that siesta!

Upstairs

The house is designed so that the kitchen and living room are upstairs so that when you are on the balcony the view is quite simply breathtaking.  It is very tranquil and although you would have to lean over the balcony to see the sea to your left, you can quite clearly see the pine trees, hills and mimosas of St Maxime, with the fantastic National Park bordering the house.  It is very peaceful and the trees offer shade when needed.                       

 The kitchen is gorgeous.  We have had the kitchen designed for us to ensure that all modern appliances are there.  Cooker and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc.  Opening the French doors from the kitchen you step onto the balcony with table, chairs, loungers and Bar-B-Q.  It is all open plan, so there is a dining table leading through into the lounge.  The lounge has a beautiful comfortable settee, which opens out as a double sofa bed.  There is a TV, dvd, video and satellite.  Open the French doors in the living room and you will find yourself on the same balcony.

There is also a WC on this floor.

Downstairs

Downstairs there is a second WC and also the main bathroom, which includes a bath with shower and sink.   

There are two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with twin beds.  Both bedrooms have air conditioning to provide cool air in the summer and heating in the winter.  Both bedrooms have French doors which open on to a covered terrace.

There will be clean linen and towels when you arrive at the house and if you require a total break and would like somebody to come and clean the house or wash the linen on a weekly basis you are free to organise that with the cleaner.  That would be at an additional cost to you.  

If you would like a welcome pack at the house, then let me know and I will ask the lady who manages the key if she could do that for you.  Again, this would be at an additional cost to you.  If you have a special occasion to celebrate and would like some flowers, chocolates or champagne in the house when you arrive, please let me know and I will try and organise things for you.
